Apply For Citizenship

The process of getting U.S. Citizenship is called Naturalization. Bureau of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration service deals with citizenship applications and if it accepted, grants you U.S. Citizenship.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for U.S. Citizenship, you reside during five years of period within United States. However, you can go outside the United States within this period for not more than 6 months.
Here we ask some question, if the answers of questions are “yes”, you are eligible for U.S. Citizenship.

Are you a permanent U.S. resident?
Are you 18 years old and permanent U.S resident?
Have you married to a U.S citizen and still in unity and have been residing within U.S. for 3 years?
Is your spouse is a U.S citizen and you have resided 2.5 years within U.S.
Are in the U.S from the date the petition was filed till the approval of citizenship.
Do you know some basic U.S. history?
Are you able to speak, read and write Basic English?
Are you capable of passing civic test?
Were you born within United States, even if your parents were not citizen?
Were you born outside of United States and your parents were US Citizen?
So have evaluate yourself that you are eligible or not for U.S Citizenship.

I am eligible for U.S citizenship, how do I apply?
First, it would be better to counsel with attorney. If you want to apply directly, please follow the instructions:
1. Download the application form for Citizenship from U.S. Citizenship and immigration Service.
2. Fill the application carefully and provide accurate and true information. Any piece of information proved to be wrong, will disqualify you for U.S. Citizenship.
3. Submit the application with two photographs and required application fees.
4. Attend an appointment for fingerprints.
5. Provide required documentation.
6. Pass Basic English Test
7. Pass civic Test
8. And answer some other questions.

The last Stage is called the Decision:
The stage includes Grant, Continued and Denied.

Grant: If the application is accepted, in this stage, oath ceremony is arranged and attended.
Continued:
If there are some complexities, the decision of issuance of Green Card is on pending.

Denied:
Due to any reason, USCIS can deny and reject the application.

If your application was accepted and you were granted, you will be taken an oath of Allegiance. After the oath, you will be given “Permanent Residence Green Card”.
